Promotion about a breed specific disease in Staffordshire Bull Terriers
Fraktul has been working with Harvey Carruthers, Partner at Tay Valley Vets, to promote information about a breed specific disease in Staffordshire Bull Terriers via www.L2HGA.com.
L-2-hydroxyglutaric aciduria is an uncommon but debilitating disease of Staffordshire Bull Terriers, and other breeds. L2HGA is inherited, and is passed on by dogs with a genetic mutation. Symptoms include wobbly walking, fits, muscle cramps and unusual behaviour.
Set up in November 2013, the site has helped to attract animal owners with an interest in this, from across the UK and beyond. In just three months the website attracted over 500 visitors a month and over 1,000 Likes on Facebook.
The Fraktul team has provided:
- Logo design
- Social media – Facebook & Twitter
- Clothing design
- e-commerce facility
Fraktul designed a simple, high-impact logo, which could be used by L2GHA.com and set up a budget, content managed, website. In addition we set up social media channels for Facebook and Twitter. L2HGA.com hopes to gain more followers at Crufts 2014, so we deigned some clothing for them and made it available for L2HGA supporters at http://fraktul.spreadshirt.co.uk
Stephen says “This project clearly shows the reach that can be achieved using online marketing. We’re really pleased to have helped Harvey in his quest to improve understanding about this debilitating disease. The promotional activity has created a great deal of traction and allowed the L2HGA team access to a significant resource which would have taken years to achieve using other, more traditional, methods.
Harvey says “The team at Fraktul have been a great help with this project. Despite our low budget they have quickly and imaginatively met our needs. Their promotional and technical solutions have been the making of this successful campaign.”
